riderrightWelcome to a new year racers! The OO executive has been busy hammering out some great new plans and making changes to make the fourth year of the Offroad Ontario race season the best yet.
Growing from our last three seasons, we are pleased to announce new and improved real time scoring for the 2013 season! The new transponders are designed for quicker scoring with more accuracy at the towers and less of a delay for racers through scoring. We’ve also improved the class structures to help serve our racers better, with the addition of a skill based Vet class structure all racing in the morning and a Pee Wee class to get the kids started young!
Building off last year’s success pairing with the FMSQ and the Eastern National Enduro series, we’re busy working on setting up a larger series in the east. We’re also hard at work collaborating with the FMSQ to bring some of their incredible racing action to our side of the border, including some top notch VTT (or ATV for the English speakers) action. This is slated to go down at the Burnt River Off Road Facility, but details aren’t fully settled just yet. Make sure you check out our fancy new website (updates coming soon) for all the amazing details.
We’ve increased membership costs, with a two tiered pricing system. Memberships bought online will be $25, but if you wait for race day, it’s going to cost you $40, so don’t be that guy holding up the line. Go check out our website, with plenty of new updates coming, and get your 2013 OO membership. Please note, that the $25 (or $40 if you purchase on Race Day) also includes the new transponder, a lightweight, adhesive strip, popular in the AMA, that attaches to your helmet visor.
We’d like to thank all of our great series sponsors: Ross Rocher Sales, Ossa Canada, LB Graphics, Hone Printing, Machine Racing, Woody’s Cycle, LRP Racing, Apex Cycle, Free Flow MX Park, Cecile Gambin Photography and Bowie Contracting LTD.
